Robin Paillet

Winner of the First Prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2025, as well as the Prize for the Interpretation of a Contemporary Work, the Audience Prize, and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra Prize, Robin Paillet has established himself as one of the most promising trumpeters of his generation.

Deeply committed to the concerto repertoire, he has been invited to perform as a soloist with several renowned ensembles, including the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Orchestre de Paris, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Collegium Musicum Basel, the Kammerphilharmonie Ingolstadt, and the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.

Born in Grenoble, in the heart of the Alps, he began studying the trumpet at the age of five at the Aix-les-Bains Conservatory. He continued his training at the Chambéry Conservatory before entering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in 2020, where he studied with Marc Geujon and Alexis Demailly. In 2023, he pursued his studies with Reinhold Friedrich at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe.

His career has been distinguished by numerous awards, including First Prize at the Ellsworth Smith International Competition (2024, United States), First Prize at the August Everding International Competition (2023, Munich), Second Prize at the Roger Voisin Competition (2024, Miami), and a Special Prize for Contemporary Interpretation at the Kesselblech Brass Festival in Stuttgart (2023). In 2025, he was invited to join the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest Academy in Amsterdam for the 2025–2026 season.
